Reggie Brown was born in a working-class neighbourhood on the south side of Chicago. After attending the University of Illinois, Champaign- Urbana where he pursued a degree in advertising, Reggie moved back to Chicago and honed his skills in acting and voiceover techniques at the Acting Studios Chicago. Reggie worked as a contributing voice for Fearless Radio, was the host of Akira TV for the fashion-forward Chicago retailer, and emceed fashion events and runway shows at some of the most prestigious venues in Chicago.
In September 2008, Reggie took home a Chicago/Midwest Emmy for Outstanding Achievement Alternative Media New Media Interactivity as a contributing member of the NBC 5 Street Team.
Even before Barack Obama announced his bid to become a state senator, people began to approach Reggie, telling him he looked uncannily like “Professor Obama”. On November 4th, 2008, the course of Reggie’s life and career changed forever. Upon hearing the news that Obama had won, he grabbed his megaphone and headed to Grant Park for the President’s acceptance speech. Perching high on top of an iconic statue with his megaphone in hand, Reggie began to perform his impression to a sea of people and the rest, as they say, is history
