Lis Cashin

Speaker | Mental Health & People Development Consultant

Who am I

Lis Cashin is an award-winning author, TEDx and International speaker, mental health consultant and transformation specialist. At just 13 years old, Lis was involved in a major trauma at school in which she accidentally killed a friend during a sports day event. She was given no support in processing the event and struggled to overcome tremendous feelings of guilt and shame, even though the school were found to be responsible for what happened. This led to her living with undiagnosed PTSD for over 30 years. She tried to hide how she was feeling and suffered in shame and silence, particularly at work. She is now passionate about challenging the stigma around mental health and supporting organisations and schools to build mentally healthy cultures that are emotionally engaging, honest and real places to work and thrive.

Through her own transformational personal journey, she has learned to ‘lead from within’ and understands the power and impact when we learn to align with our integrity, speak our truth and lead with passion and purpose.

Lis delivers keynotes from 30-60 minutes and is a regular speaker on speaker panels. Audiences leave feeling emotionally engaged, uplifted, informed and inspired.

Lis is a professional member of the PSA (Professional Speaking Association) and winner of the London region Speaker Factor competition in 2017 and national finalist.

She has spoken with organisations such as Lloyds Dive in Festival, Just Eat, GLH hotels, East West rail, Hyperion, Hyatt hotels and MHFA England. She is an inspirational speaker with TLC Lions - igniting emotion in the workplace through storytelling.
