Who am I

Writer, Producer, Actor, Director and Entrepreneur Divya is incredibly active in spite of suffering from Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Often profiled as one of the finest 40 Entrepreneurs under 40, she has won the Best Director at the New York, Sydney and Melbourne Fringe Festival as well as the best show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for her multimedia show “2611, A Personal War”.  

From the Royal Family of Cochin State, Divya chose to pursue her dreams and started acting at the age of three, doing numerous commercials, plays and films before she went to Stanford University, on full scholarship, double majoring in Mathematics and Drama. She has written over 15 plays and played Sita in the mega-production “ The Legend of Ram”

in 2005, Divya was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) - a debilitating disease. This however instead of this disease define her and she went on start The Balancing Act Trust, that supports numerous NGO raising funds collected through theatre and film at an Inclusive Cultural Festival called “YouTheatre”.  

She works with Brands to Strategise, Create and Produce Digital Content. She just completed work on “The Great Indian Homemaker” a one of a kind design show that transforms living spaces in 48 hours and just completed its run on NDTV GoodTimes. 

Divya now shares her story about her journey and overcoming diversity to many corporate audiences throughout India.

Divya is writing her first Hindi Film Script and enjoys her spare time with her Cocker Spaniel - Magic and her husband - in that order.
