English Literature at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, a choice solely
based on the fact that this was the furthest English University away from her
picturesque but sleepy home town of Exeter. After a year as the President of
her university's Student Union, she worked in marketing and then advertising
before deciding to flee London for a year's backpacking trip around Asia. That
year turned into many, and she in fact never left Asia, moving through a series
of “fun but challenging” jobs in Indonesia, Thailand and finally Mumbai.
by accident, though she thinks it was meant to be. She met her husband, Vivek,
in 2007 and married him a year later with her own big fat Indian wedding. They
had their first child, Jake in 2010, and their second, Noah in 2012.

When Speaking Minds was founded in 2007 in New Zealand, little did we envisage that this would grow into an international brand with offices in India and London in less than a decade. We set up the business to share what we had learnt, from the privileges we have had in our jobs – of access to knowledge.
